Magic Kingdom 2012 App Submitted
The first of our second generation apps was submitted to the Apple iTunes store for approval. Approval for apps like this has take a week or two in the past and we anticipate general availability on or arond September 9th, 2011.

Welcome to the MyDisneyApp.com!
Soon, our generation 2 apps will be submitted to the app store. These new apps are signifigantly different, provide many requested features and provide the ability for us to add many more features in the months to come.
You can get a preview of the new app build by following the Demo button on the home page or from any of the individual app pages.

MyDisneyApp.com was born out of both enthusiasm and frustration.
As iPhone capabilities increased, my interest in leveraging it to assist my families annual vacations to Diseney World increased as well.
I tried several options avaialble when I purchased my own iPhone including wait times, times-guides and map apps, none of which were particularly great, I wanted something great.
I have been developing in-house software applications for various companies over the years and decided to build my own app primarily focused on maps. The strict limitations of the phone OS and my own learning curve with Apple's developers kit
led to an initial release that worked but was not what I intended to build.
I sold a few apps, grew very frustrated with the limited features so my wife and i began to assemble a database of information and quickly added dining information
including full menus with prices and more to the existing app. This worked but the load on the phones was very high and I still did not have the maps working the way I wanted them to, I want to be able to zoom, pan and select the attraction or restaurant
from the map, not use a menu or swap back and forth. I wanted more information than a simple pop-up window providing the name too so I went back to the drawing board and created what I have today.
This new generation of apps contain full resolution maps, if printed they would be over 18" wide and 16" tall. Each one allows the user to scroll, zoom in and out and select any available item and click-through to the information on that item.
Each app will be released every few weeks over the next few months with all apps available by December 1st, 2011. I hope you decide to give our little app that could a try, recommend it to your friends and most of all, enjoy your time at Walt Disney World!

MyDisneyApp.com apps are developed to be as simple as possible while providing access to as much information as possible with current capabilities.
Navigating through this website or any of our apps is as simple as pressing the menu buttons or map icons. Virtually all maps are capable of full zooming in and out, scrolling and actively
linking to the associated attraction, restaurant or shop on the map. Specifc help for map usage is listed under the maps section.
We can be contacted via email and strive to respond to any issues as quickly as possible. All MyDisneyApp.com logos are links to our email address.
Navigation Help Page
Navigation is simple in all MyDisneyApp apps once you get the hang of it.
Simply press the selected button and the requested page will open, depending on device capability it may take a moment or two to navigate.
There is quite a bit of information included in each app and different phone models have more or less capability. All apps have been run and tested on iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad WiFi, iPod 2nd Gen and iPod 4th Gen devices before app submission.
Navigation to and from maps can and will take longer. The map files included in your app a high resolution and very large therefore take a moment to load.

App updates are handled through the app store and can be done by following the steps below.
Step 1:
From you iPhone, iPod or iPad open the App Store app.
Step 2:
Press the Update button on the bottom right corner of the menu. The icon is an arrow down.
Step 3:
If any updates are available for your phone they will be displayed here.
Step 4:
To update just the apps you want, select them one at a time.
OR
To update all apps simply press the Update All button on the top right corner.
Step 5:
Enter your iTunes account information and the requested updates will begin the download and install on your device.
Contacts App Help Page
ADD CONTACTS
Adding contacts can be done one of two ways, all or by groupsand will be listed in your contacts under the letter [D] and are searchable from the device search field.
Adding all contacts can/will take a few minutes but will insert every available contact into your contact list. Simply press the [+] button next to all contacts and the app will let you know when it is complete.
Adding contacts for a specific group is as simple as pressing the [+] button for the group you wish to add.
REMOVE CONTACTS
Removing contacts is handled just like adding them, simply select the [-] next to all or the group you wish to remove and the app will notify you when it is complete.
Map Usage Help Page
Zoom In
Zooming in is as simple as placing two fingers on the map, while both fingers are on the screen spread them apart slowly. Repeat this action until you reach the level of zoom you are comfortable with.
Zoom Out
Zoomin out is the reverse of zooming in, simply place two spearated fingers on the screen and pull them together like a pinch. Repeat the process until you reach the view you wish to acheive.
Map Scrolling
Place one finger on the screen and drag it the direction you wish to scroll. The app supports left/right, up/down and diagonal either direction. You must remove your finger and place it back on the screen to change direction.
Map Navigation
Press any available icon or text field to expand details on that attraction, restaurant or shop. Due to the size and scale of the map some devices may react slower than others with this action, please be patient.
